From shipping contracts to AI clinics.

Lawyer by training, strategist by trade, educator for more than twenty years. Today I teach people and organizations to work with AI.

Bio

At Miami Dade College I design, run and teach the AI Clinics: one-month blended courses that take people with no background in AI to building their own AI agents. More than a thousand people completed them in the first year, in English and in Spanish. Through my company, Grovear, I take the same method into organizations, starting with governance and the leadership team and ending at every desk.

I came to AI from the side. I trained as a lawyer at the University of Buenos Aires, then spent more than twenty years in shipbroking, offshore oil and gas logistics and maritime services across South America. For sixteen of those years I also taught strategy at UADE in Buenos Aires. An Oxford MBA came in the middle, and a doctorate in higher education leadership at the University of Miami came after.

I am now working toward a bachelor’s degree in applied AI at Miami Dade College. I would rather teach a tool I am also studying.

Career

2025 to todayAI Clinics, Miami Dade College. I design, run and teach them, in English and Spanish, for open enrollment and for companies. I also taught Google’s Generative AI Leader course for the National Applied AI Consortium.

2024 to 2026AI Center, Miami Dade College, Wolfson Campus. Ran the center day to day, built its program of events and created AIDA, an agency where AI students and faculty build applications for outside organizations.

2013 to todayGrovear, founder and CEO. AI adoption and training for companies, from governance and the C-suite to every employee. Terrabank trained its whole staff with us.

2002 to 2018Associate Professor of Strategy, UADE, Buenos Aires. Wrote the shared strategy syllabus and taught two to three courses a term. Also Industrial Strategies in Biotechnology at UADE (2008 to 2011) and General Management for MBA students at EDDE (2002 to 2003).

2006 to 2012Latedis, founder. An e-learning company: online courses for a private university and blended training for about 4,000 retail sales staff a year in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

1988 to 2010Maritime and offshore. From trainee shipbroker in Copenhagen and Hamburg to Commercial Manager for South America at P&O Maritime Services, where I led the purchase of a 40 million dollar company in Paraguay and a 60 million dollar build of new tugs and barges.
