MDC-TV, the television station of Miami Dade College, won a Gold Davey Award in the General – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category for its production of TEDxMDC. The winning video is Shane Battier’s talk “The Battier Effect: How the 98% Drives True Greatness”, from the first TEDxMDC in December 2024. I was a producer of the event, in charge of the program and the speakers.
The award went to the MDC-TV production, and I was part of that team. The Davey Awards are given by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts for video and digital content. Winners were announced on 21 October 2025.
